MN Man Impersonates Pink Floyd Singer For 100K In Healthcare
ST. CLOUD, Minn. (WCCO) -- Police say a Minnesota man posed as a rock star -- British accent and all -- to get as much as $100,000 in medical treatment.
Phillip Schaeffer attempted to be Pink Floyd singer David Gilmour.
Schaeffer claimed to be on tour with the band in Canada last month, and said he stopped at St. Cloud Hospital for treatment, according to the St. Cloud Times.
He even signed an autograph for an employee's son.
But staff got suspicious and called police.
Schaeffer faces a possible charge of theft by swindle.
