MN Man Accused Of Fraud In MN, ND
GRAND FORKS, N.D. (AP) -- A Strandquist, Minn., man is accused of stealing more than $70,000 worth of goods through fraudulent business deals in Minnesota and North Dakota.
The Grand Forks Herald reports that 28-year-old Jesse West made initial court appearances Tuesday in Minnesota's Marshall County, where he pleaded not guilty to felony theft, and in North Dakota's Grand Forks County, where he posted $2,500 bail on a felony fraud charge. His attorney declined comment.
Authorities allege that in Minnesota, West sold to a Wisconsin man a tractor and loader that were mortgaged and later were repossessed. In North Dakota, he allegedly ran a loan scheme to buy and sell a trailer.
