MN Drivers Could Soon Show Proof Of Insurance Electronically
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Soon, Minnesota drivers can show proof of insurance with a smartphone.
Both the Minnesota House and Minnesota Senate unanimously approved the new law.
Now, it goes to the governor for his signature.
The law does not let police search a person's cell phone if it's used to prove insurance after a driver is pulled over.
Currently, 37 other states have similar laws.
