Missing Teen, Baby Found In Hudson, Wis.
BROOKLYN CENTER, Minn. (AP) — Police say a suburban Twin Cities teenage mother missing along with her baby have been found in western Wisconsin and the teen's father has been arrested.
Brooklyn Center police say the 17-year-old girl and her 9-month-old daughter turned up in Hudson Wednesday morning. Brooklyn Center Police Cmdr. Brian Peters says they were traveling with the teen's father, who was arrested on a warrant accusing him of assaulting his daughter.
Peters says the teen and her baby appeared to be fine, but were taken to local hospital to be checked. Peters say the teen and her child disappeared from foster care Aug. 2.
He says citizen tips led authorities to their location. The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension issued an alert on their disappearance.
