Missing Man Found Dead In Carlton County
MINNETONKA, Minn. (WCCO) -- A man who went missing on Monday morning was found dead in Carlton County.
Police said Gerald Maloney left his Minnetonka residence at about 11:30 a.m. Monday to visit a car service repair company in Golden Valley.
Maloney never made it there and hadn't been heard from or seen since.
On Friday morning, police confirmed Maloney had been found deceased. Authorities said Carlton County Dispatch received a 911 call at about 7:40 p.m. Thursday about an abandoned vehicle on a snowmobile trail. Deputies headed to the scene learned the car's registration had been flagged with an attempt to locate from Minnetonka Police. Authorities found Maloney dead outside of his vehicle.
Carlton County officials were still investigating, but said his death did not appear suspicious.
