Miss Minnesota Prepares For Pageant In Vegas
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) - Miss Minnesota Siri Freeh is a junior and nursing major at the University of Minnesota.
The Detroit Lakes native said she is looking forward to the trip to Las Vegas to compete in the Miss America Pageant.
But she's not a big fan of Vegas.
"I went out there last year for two days to watch Miss America pageant, and you know, after two days I was ready to come home." Freeh said.
She will be there for a week and a half as part of the competition.
"We have grueling rehearsals, you know, the behind the scenes work that goes into the production," she said.
Freeh talent is dance, and her platform is heart health.
She said she's practiced a lot and is ready to go.
"It's actually lyrical ballet, so it's a little softer than ballet, and I've been doing it since I was a little girl," she said.
Freeh is a 4.0 student and is taking a year off to focus on her competition.
