MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Minnesota's minimum wage workers are getting a raise.
Starting Saturday, the minimum wage is going from $8 to $9 an hour, making it one of the highest in the nation.
The state law allows small companies, those with less than $500,000 in revenue, to still pay workers the federal minimum of $7.25 per hour.
Minnesota's minimum wage will go up again next August to $9.50 an hour.
