Minnesotans Enjoy Warm Memorial Day Weather
MAPLEWOOD, Minn. (WCCO) – The Memorial Day holiday in Minnesota is proof of how much difference a year can make.
Memorial Day 2014 in Minnesota was quite different than Memorial Day 2013.
Temps soared into the 80's in the Twin Cities on Monday, a 20 degree difference from last year when the high was a windy 62 degrees.
Como Pool was buzzing Monday morning worth hundreds of guests by noon.
Last year, the pool was empty of swimmers when WCCO stopped by.
Keller Park in Maplewood, Minn. was also abuzz.
Last year, WCCO found only a few people bundled up playing a game of Top Spin. This year the pavilions and grills were packed.
One park chef laughed summing up the sentiments of many, "We deserve this, it's almost June!"
