Quiet, cloudy Monday in Twin Cities; highs return to teens by Thursday
MINNEAPOLIS — After overnight snow led to a white-knuckle morning commute, the Twin Cities will see decreasing clouds and temperatures topping out in the mid-20s on Monday.
It'll be a cloudy day with a high of 25, with snow tapering off early and road conditions improving by the afternoon. Expect a quiet evening as everything clears out, with chilly temperatures persisting overnight.
A warming trend arrives Tuesday, with highs near 30. Another snow-filled system is expected to enter Minnesota on Tuesday night but is likely to miss the metro to the northeast.
Duluth can expect about a half inch, while the Arrowhead could see 4-plus inches of accumulation. A few wraparound snow showers are possible on Wednesday.
Highs drop to the teens on Thursday but will rebound over the weekend.
