Minnesota Native, Astronaut Talks About Mission To Space Station
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Minnesota native Karen Nyberg, an astronaut with NASA, is making her final preparations for a trip to the International Space Station.
Nyberg joined the WCCO Morning Show from Russia, where she is training for the mission, Thursday morning. She will depart for the space station on May 28 and spend six months in space.
Nyberg was born and raised in the west central Minnesota town of Vining. She also went to space on the shuttle Discovery back in 2008. Check out the video report for more information on her upcoming trip.
