Minnesota Man Found Dead In Wisconsin Cabin
BARRON, Wis. (AP) -- Sheriff's investigators say carbon monoxide may have caused the death of a Minnesota man whose body was found in his cabin in western Wisconsin.
Barron County sheriff's authorities say the body of 60-year-old Gene Prekker of St. Paul was found Tuesday by his sister in the Cameron cabin.
Deputies say they found small explosive in a pipe near the body and called the Marathon County bomb squad to detonate it.
Sheriff's officials say the man's death was apparently caused by carbon monoxide asphyxiation, but the Barron County medical examiner will make the official determination.
