Minnesota Duluth Beats Colorado College 5-2
DULUTH, Minn. (AP) — Mike Seidel scored two goals as Minnesota Duluth stayed in the race for the McNaughton Cup with a 5-2 Western Collegiate Hockey Association win over Colorado College on Saturday.
The Bulldogs will go into the final weekend of the season trailing Minnesota by two points in the race for the regular season title and the top seed in the WCHA playoffs. UMD is the only team not eliminated from the race.
Caleb Herbert and J.T. Brown had a goal and an assist each for the fourth-ranked Bulldogs (22-7-5, 16-6-4), who won 4-3 on Brown's overtime goal on Friday.
Kenny Reiter made 25 saves and assisted on two UMD goals. Jack Connolly had three assists.
Rylan Schwartz and Andrew Hamburg had goals for the Tigers (16-14-2,13-12-2).
Joe Howe had 32 saves for Colorado College.
