Minneapolis Man Charged In Chicago Shooting
CHICAGO (AP) — A Minnesota man faces murder charges in a shooting in suburban Chicago that left one person dead and another injured.
The Cook County Sheriff Office says in a Friday statement that 20-year-old TreDaniel Williams, of Minneapolis, opened fire in the early morning of Aug. 8 in Robbins when an apparent drug deal unraveled.
He's charged with murder and attempted murder in the killing of a 29-year-old Berwyn man and the shooting of the other man, a 27-year-old from Chicago.
Williams was denied bond during a hearing Thursday in a Cook County courthouse.
Authorities say Williams fled to Minneapolis after the shooting. He was arrested several days later and officials returned him to Cook County early this week after he waived extradition.
It wasn't immediately clear if Williams had a lawyer.
