Minneapolis Is America's No. 3 'Most Literate City'
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Minneapolis is one of the top cities in the country when it comes to literacy.
A national survey says Minneapolis is the third most literate, behind Washington, D.C. and Seattle.
The study's factors are based on library resources, newspaper circulation and the number of booksellers. In its 10th year, the study is conducted annually by Dr. Jack Miller, who is president of the Central Connecticut State University in New Britain, Conn.
The top cities are:

2. Seattle, WA
3. Minneapolis, MN
4. Pittsburgh, PA
5. Denver, CO
6. St. Paul, MN
7. Boston, MA
8. Atlanta, GA
9. St. Louis, MO
10. Portland, OR
