Minneapolis Giving Away Free Radon Kits
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- The City of Minneapolis wants to help you find out if there are dangerous levels of radon in your house.
Next Tuesday, 250 free radon kits will be available from 8 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. at the Minneapolis Development Review, located at 240 4th Street South.
Radon is an odorless gas that has been linked to cancer. It is naturally found in Minnesota soil and can get in the house through cracks and openings in the basement or foundation.
Radon exposure is preventable and radon problems can be fixed.
