Minneapolis Downtown Council Meets To Celebrate Great Year
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Minneapolis city officials and business leaders got together Tuesday to celebrate the past year, and talk about future plans for the city.
WCCO's Amelia Santaniello was at the annual meeting of the Minneapolis Downtown Council.
Downtown's population is growing, with nearly 39,000 residents. And there's been $2 billion earned from new construction permits.
There's also been a 78-percent reduction in crime.
The focus now turns to big plans for the future, known as "Downtown 2025."
