Minneapolis Bike Shop Shares Picture Of Suspected Bike Thief
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A Minneapolis bike shop is getting some help from its "friends" after a teenager rode off with a bike he didn't purchase.
On Thursday morning, the young man came into Bikes and Pieces LLC in Minneapolis and asked to test ride a bike.
The owner, Mike Kmiecik, usually takes a license or identification card in exchange for a ride, but the kid said he didn't have one on him. Two hours later, he didn't return with the Miyata Six Ten.
"It dawned on me. Oh no, I think I've lost a bike," Kmiecik said.
The shop posted a picture of the guy from its surveillance video on Facebook asking for help.
Kmiecik is hoping someone recognizes the guy or the bike and lets him know how to find them.
If you know who stole the bike from Bikes & Pieces LLC, contact the shop with information below.
