Minneapolis Area Police Looking For Kitten Thief
SHAKOPEE, Minn. (AP) -- Minneapolis area police are trying to track down a kitten thief.
The woman took 8-week-old Persian kitten Saturday night from a Petland in Shakopee.
The store captured the theft on two cameras. The footage shows the woman in a blue and white baseball t-shirt casing out the kitten with its littermates through a glass window. It then shows her going in a restricted back room and taking the kitten out.
The store rescued the mother and her litter of Persian kittens when someone dropped them off at the store's doorstep. The kitten is estimated to be worth about $500.
Manager Jeff Latko says he's worried for the kitten's health. He says the woman who took the cat might not know how to care for it properly.
