Minn. Trooper Hurt In Off-Duty Motorcycle Crash
DETROIT LAKES, Minn. (AP) -- A Minnesota state trooper is hospitalized after he was seriously injured in an off-duty motorcycle accident.
Sgt. Todd Pearson and his wife, Nancy, were riding on a Becker County road late Wednesday afternoon when their motorcycle collided with a deer that came out of the woods and crossed the road.
Both husband and wife were wearing helmets. The couple was taken to Essentia Health Hospital in Fargo, N.D. Sgt. Pearson remains hospitalized with multiple injuries. His wife was treated and released.
KKCQ Radio of Fosston reports the accident happened about 35 miles northeast of Detroit Lakes.
