Minn. Teller Sentenced For Stealing $95K
HASTINGS, Minn. (AP) — A woman has been sentenced for stealing $95,000 from a Lakeville bank where she worked as a teller.
Thirty-two-year-old Leah Marie Bremner of Inver Grove Heights was sentenced in Dakota County Tuesday to a month in jail and three months of electronic home monitoring.
Bremner also was ordered to pay restitution and will be on probation for up to 20 years. She pleaded guilty in July to one count of theft by swindle, a felony.
Prosecutors say the thefts happened between May and October of 2010. At the time of the thefts, Bremner worked at the bank as a senior teller.
