Minn. St., Mankato Beats Wisconsin 3-0
MANKATO, Minn. (AP) — Minnesota State, Mankato goalie Phil Cook made 32 saves and Joe Schiller had three points to lead the Mavericks to a 3-0 Western Collegiate Hockey Association win over Wisconsin on Saturday.
Cook made 12 saves in the first and third periods for MSUM (7-16-1, 3-12-1), which lost 4-0 to the Badgers on Friday.
Schiller assisted on the Mavericks' first two goals in the first period. He scored MSUM's final goal in the third.
Eli Zuck and Eriah Hayes scored power-play goals.
Joel Rumpel had 29 saves for the Badgers (10-10-2, 5-9-2), who lost for the sixth time in eight road games.
Wisconsin's Mike Zengerle was held scoreless, ending his point-scoring streak at 20 games.
The Badgers were scoreless on six power-play chances.
