Minn. St., Mankato Beats St. Lawrence 3-1
CANTON, N.Y. (AP) — Justin Jokinen scored the game-winning goal late in the third period as Minnesota State, Mankato beat St. Lawrence 3-1 in men's college hockey Saturday.
Adam Mueller added an empty-net goal with 1 second left to play, assuring the Mavericks (6-15-1) a split of the two-game series. St. Lawrence won 4-3 on Friday.
Zach Palmquist gave MSUM a 1-0 lead with 18 seconds to play in the second period. Greg Carey tied it for the Saints (8-11-2) at 6:56 of the third period.
St. Lawrence had 30 shots on MSUM goalie Phil Cook, who made 29 saves.
Robby Moss made 20 saves for the Saints.
