Minn. Republicans In 2012 Mix Address Values Forum
ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) -- Two Minnesota Republicans active in the 2012 race for president are appearing before a conference staged by advocates of conservative values.
Former Gov. Tim Pawlenty and Rep. Michele Bachmann both were scheduled to speak Friday at the Faith and Freedom Conference and Strategy Briefing in Washington.
Pawlenty has announced his campaign for president. Bachmann has moved in that direction but said she'll wait until later this month to declare her intentions. She says her formal announcement would come in Iowa.
The group staging the Washington event is headed by Ralph Reed, an influential figure in social conservative circles and a veteran of presidential campaigns.
Several other 2012 hopefuls are also due to address the conference.
