Minn. Man Hit, Killed On I-80 Ramp In Iowa
SHELBY, Iowa (AP) -- The Iowa State Patrol says a Minnesota man has been killed in a hit-and-run near Shelby.
Atlantic radio station KJAN reports that 31-year-old Mosadaq Aden, of St. Paul, Minn., died Wednesday after being hit on an Interstate 80 off-ramp in Pottawattamie County.
The patrol says Aden was walking on the I-80 westbound Shelby/Exit 34 off-ramp just after 3 a.m. when he was hit by one or more vehicles.
Investigators say the road was unlit and Aden was wearing dark colored clothing at the time he was hit.
Aden suffered a crushed pelvis and severe head injuries, and was flown to an Omaha trauma center, where he later died. Officials say he had been traveling from Las Vegas to St. Paul.
