Minn. Man Dies In Stolen Car Chase
DETROIT LAKES, Minn. (AP) -- The driver of a car reported stolen in Fergus Falls is dead after crashing during a police chase in western Minnesota.
A Becker County sheriff's officer spotted the car early Friday and started to chase it. The stolen vehicle sped up, lost control and rolled, throwing the driver.
The driver, 24-year-old Brandon Boswell of Detroit Lakes, died at the scene. No one else was in the car.
Otter Tail County sheriff's authorities had notified Becker County around 12:30 a.m. that Pelican Rapids police were chasing the stolen car.
The chase reached speeds of more than 100 mph.
