MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – It's cold outside. But, that means ice fishing season is heating up!
It's one of the most popular sports in the state, and many look forward to the time of year when the ice is thick enough for it.
So, it's a shame that WCCO's Mike Augustyniak and Natalie Nyhus had never tried it before.

Professional ice fisherman Joel Nelson took them out on Lake Minnetonka to see if the fish would bite.
