Michigan Tech Edges Minn. St., Mankato 1-0
HOUGHTON, Mich. (AP) -- Ryan Furne had the game's only goal and Josh Robinson had 29 saves as Michigan Tech shut out Minnesota State, Mankato 1-0 on Friday in the Western Collegiate Hockey Association.
Furne scored on the power play at 14:22 of the first period for the Huskies (6-2-1, 4-2-1), who improved to 6-0-1 at home. Steve Seigo and Brett Olson assisted on the goal.
Furne's goal was the only mistake by MSUM (1-6-0, 0-3-0) goalie Austin Lee, who made 40 saves.
Michigan Tech outshot the Mavericks 41-29.
Robinson made 11 saves in the first period and survived six MSUM power plays.
