Mich. Men Killed In Minn. Plane Crash Identified
CALEDONIA, Minn. (AP) — Minnesota authorities have identified the three Michigan men who died when their small plane crashed in a field near an airport in southeastern Minnesota.
The Houston County sheriff's department identified the victims Saturday as 79-year-old Joel Alan Garrett of Troy, Mich., 49-year-old Dale Edward Garrett of Berkley, Mich., and 50-year-old John Paul Bergeron of Birmingham, Mich.
A fourth person was injured in the crash. His condition was not immediately available.
Authorities say the men's twin-engine Piper PA-23 was traveling Friday from Troy to Minnesota on Friday when it crashed in Caledonia, Minn., about 4:30 p.m.
The Federal Aviation Administration and National Transportation Safety Board are investigating.
