Met Council Looking To Drop Rates For Northstar Commuter Line
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Twin Cities travelers may not have to pay as much to take the Northstar Commuter Rail Line soon.
The Metropolitan Council is looking at lowering fares by $1. A committee has already approved the reduced rates, but it still needs to be voted on by the full council. That vote is slated for the end of this month.
The Met Council hopes the dollar discount will get more people riding the train. It runs daily from Big Lake to Target Field in downtown Minneapolis.
