Meetings Continue At Capitol Over Vikings Stadium

ST. PAUL, Minn. (WCCO) – Gov. Mark Dayton held private, lengthy meetings with lawmakers Friday morning at the Capitol about the possibilities for a Vikings Stadium.

Dayton called the meetings "worthwhile, excellent and constructive," but a deal has yet to be reached. Dayton said all options on how to pay for a new stadium are on the table, including the possibility of using money from the legacy fund.

Just yesterday, Minneapolis Mayor R.T. Rybak announced the plans and financing options for three possible sites for a Vikings stadium in Minneapolis.

The Vikings released a statement shortly after the plans were announced that they are standing firm with their partnership with Ramsey County and potential site in Arden Hills.

Dayton wants lawmakers to discuss stadium ideas next week in the hopes of voting on a new stadium in a special session that's in the works just before Thanksgiving.
