Meeting Seeks Ideas For Revamping Washington Avenue
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- On Tuesday, Twin Cities residents will have the chance to weigh in on the redesign of Washington Avenue in downtown Minneapolis.
The city plans to revamp that major artery, which has stayed virtually unchanged for about 50 years.
So far, people have asked the city to make it more open to pedestrians and bikers.
The meeting is open to the public and starts at 5 p.m. at Mill City Museum.
The total cost of the project is expected to be about 8-million dollars, with construction slated to start next year.
