Meet Slimy Friends On Salamander Sunday
RICHFIELD, Minn. (WCCO) -- If your kids like slimy salamanders, they have a place to check them out on Sunday.
Salamander Sundays runs from 1 to 2:30 p.m. or 3 to 4:30 p.m. at the Wood Lake Nature Center in Richfield.
It's $3 if you're not a member, and free if you are. An ice cream treat is also part of the deal.
"It's a chance for the public to meet salamanders and learn about how important they are to the environment," the event organizer said.
Minnesota is home to six types of the amphibians that breathe through their skin.
