Medical Examiner: Waconia Woman Killed In Carver County Crash
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A 34-year-old Waconia woman died Saturday night after a crash involving two vehicles in Carver County, authorities said.
The crash happened at about 3:39 p.m. Saturday on County Road 10 at 102nd Street in Laketown Township. The victim was taken to Hennepin County Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead.
The Hennepin County Medical Examiner identified the victim as Misty Petschl of Waconia. Authorities say she died of injuries sustained in the crash.
According to a "Go Fund Me" page to help the victim's family, two children were also in the vehicle at the time of the crash, and one was seriously hurt. What led up to the crash is under investigation by the Carver County Sheriff's Office.
It was a deadly weekend on Minnesota roads as slick conditions around the Twin Cities and surrounding areas led to crashes that killed as many as six people.
