Mayor Chris Coleman Unapologetic For His Negative Wild Tweet
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- The Minnesota Wild will try to put Wednesday night behind them, as they face the Blues in St. Louis Friday night in Game 5 of their Stanley Cup Playoff series.
Wild fans, St. Paul's mayor included, are also trying to move on. Mayor Chris Coleman took a little heat for a tweet he issued after the Blues blew-out the Wild 6-1 at the Xcel Energy Center.
"It's the most retweeted thing I've ever tweeted in my life," Coleman said. After the game, he tweeted the following:
In case you don't know, WTF stands for, "What The F---." And you can guess what the F stands for.
Some on Twitter and elsewhere questioned if the tweet was beneath the Mayor of St. Paul. To that, Coleman said, "lighten up, Frances."
Colman told WCCO's Chad Hartman that he's a hockey fan, and just like other hockey fans, he gives praise for good performances, and will criticize poor performances.
"When I pay my $100-plus for a ticket and go to a game, I get to complain too," Coleman said.
