Mayo Clinic Celebrates 150 Years
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Friday night marked a special occasion for the Mayo Clinic and the people they've helped. Friday the hospital in Rochester, Minn. celebrated its 150th birthday.
Local celebrities attended the bash including Governor Dayton and Minnesota Viking Chad Greenway.
But it was the many patients there that Mayo Clinic had helped over the years that stood out.
One family shared their story of when their twin daughters were born conjoined in 2006.
Now eight years later, the family is still thanking the clinic.
Mayo says this was their biggest celebration they've ever had.
There were more than 150 families and 5,000 people who attended the party.
