Mankato Student Creates 'Bucket List' For Her Terminally Ill Dog

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A Mankato State University student is doing something unique to remember someone special in her life.

Olivia Anderson says her dog, Sadie, was diagnosed with cancer and given weeks to live.

So with the help of a "bucket list," she is now working to create more memories with her pooch of 11 years while she still has time left.

They have done everything from motorcycle rides to running a 5K together. It is all with a simple goal in mind: make the most of every day they have left together.

"There's no point in being sad and sulking about it. I mean, I don't want to be sad because she picks up on that. So this is my way of being happy about it and making sure that she's happy and enjoying every last day that she has," Anderson said.

She says Sadie's latest item on her bucket list is to become a TV star, which she can now cross off thanks to her appearance on WCCO 4 News Saturday Morning!
