Man Who Murdered Adrian Peterson's Son Files Appeal
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- The man serving a life sentence for murdering one of Adrian Peterson's sons wants the South Dakota Supreme Court to take a look at his conviction.
Joseph Patterson was convicted last fall in the death of 2-year-old Tyrese Ruffin. He was the boyfriend of the boy's mother.
The Minnesota Viking found out Ruffin was his son about two months before he died.
An autopsy concluded the boy suffered four blows to the head that doctors said couldn't have been accidental.
Patterson says the boy choked on strawberry fruit snacks.
Patterson's lawyer has filed an appeal with South Dakota's highest court.
