Man Who Hit Bicyclist, Left Scene Gets Year In Workhouse
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A 33-year-old Coon Rapids man got a stayed sentence of 15 months in prison Friday for colliding with a 9-year-old bicyclist in June and failing to help at the scene, Anoka County officials say.
Judge Sharon Hall also ordered Nathan Wade Boese to one year in the workhouse, the county attorney's office said.
Boese collided with the bicyclist on June 13 at the intersection of 111th and Kumquat streets and drove off in his truck. The bicyclist suffered serious injuries that required intense treatment.
Boese turned himself in after being charged with criminal vehicular operation.
