Man Stabbed To Death In Alexandria
ALEXANDRIA, Minn. (WCCO) – A 28-year-old man was stabbed to death outside of an apartment building in Alexandria Saturday afternoon, according to police.
Alexandria Police Chief Richard Wyffels says at about 1:11 p.m., authorities responded to a report of a stabbing at 1705 East 6th Ave.
Upon arrival, they found Phillip Alstadt of Alexandria dead.
The suspect, 25-year-old Kody Klimek, also of Alexandria, was arrested and taken into custody.
The victim and the suspect were acquaintances. The stabbing followed an altercation between the two men.
The investigation is being conducted by Alexandria Police, the Douglas County Sheriff's office, the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension and the BCA's Mobile Crime Lab.
