Man Stabbed At Concordia University Soccer Field
ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP/WCCO) -- Police say a man was stabbed in the arm at a soccer field at a St. Paul college.
The St. Paul Pioneer Press reports the stabbing happened Wednesday evening at Concordia University. Police spokesman Steve Linders says a 26-year-old man was playing soccer with a friend when there was an argument with a passerby that escalated. Linders says the man was stabbed in the back of the arm.
According to Linders, police responded to the scene and found a trail of blood through the parking lot, and blood was also on the grass. The victim wasn't at the scene, but police later learned that he was driven to a hospital by a friend. The newspaper says he went into surgery and is expected to survive.
Police are searching for a 30-year-old suspect.
The college is located on the 1200 block of Concordia Avenue.
On Thursday, a woman was killed in a stabbing in Northeast Minneapolis.
