Man Shot, Killed Overnight In Mpls. Shooting

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A man died after being shot in Minneapolis Tuesday morning, according to a 911 supervisor.

Neighbors reported hearing shots in the 5700 block of Sander Drive shortly after 2 a.m. Then they discovered an injured man and called police.

When officers arrived the man was still conscious. He was brought to Hennepin County Medical Center where he was pronounced dead at about 2:47 a.m..

The victim was identified Tuesday as 24-year-old Edward Trondell Baker of Minneapolis. The Hennepin County Medical Examiner reported that Baker was murdered and that the cause of death was multiple gunshot wounds.
