Man Sentenced To Time Served In Fatal Red Lake Crash
DULUTH, Minn. (AP) — A man who pleaded guilty to involuntary manslaughter in a fatal crash on the Red Lake Indian Reservation has been sentenced to time already served behind bars.
Twenty-one-year-old Kyle Mitchell Lee Hardy was driving a pickup after drinking alcohol at a party in August 2009 when he missed a turn in the road and two juveniles riding in the truck's bed were thrown out. A teenage girl was killed.
A federal judge in Duluth also sentenced Hardy to three years of supervised release. He was indicted in June 2011 and pleaded guilty five months later.
