Man Sentenced Nearly 14 Years For Blaine Murder
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A man was sentenced Friday for a murder that happened in Blaine, Minn. in August.
Zachary S. Heineck, was sentenced to 13 years and 9 months in prison for the murder of Ryan Felt.
Heineck also got 36 months for second degree assault. The sentences will run consecutively.
According to the criminal complaint, Felt went to a house on 91st Lane on Aug. 11 for a drug deal. A number of other people were there and a fight broke out between Felt and another man.
That's when Heineck pulled out a gun and shot Felt. Witnesses said the gun jammed, Heineck cleared the jam and then continued to shoot at Felt.
An autopsy found that Felt was shot three times: once in the mid-back, once near the left armpit and once in the lower abdomen.
