Man Sentenced To 57 Months In Fatal Cool Rapids Crash
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A judge sentenced Samuel Maser to more than four years in prison Tuesday in a Coon Rapids crash that left a passenger in his car dead.
Maser, 30, was driving on Highway 10 on an early morning in March when the car swerved and struck an unoccupied car parked along the shoulder. Ashley Novak, 30, was in the car with him and died. Police later detected alcohol in Maser's system.
On Tuesday, an Anoka County judge sentenced Maser to 57 months in prison, with credit for 259 days served, on a charge of criminal vehicle homicide, for operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol.
