Man Pleads Guilty To Kidnapping, Assaulting St. Paul Girl
ST. PAUL, Minn. (WCCO) – A 48-year-old Spring Lake Park man pleaded guilty Wednesday to charges filed in connection with the May kidnapping of an 8-year-old girl from a Laundromat.
John Heuer pleaded guilty to two counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct, one count of second-degree criminal sexual conduct and kidnapping in Anoka County District Court.
Heuer was ordered to undergo a psychosexual evaluation and will be sentenced Sept. 23.
According to a criminal complaint, Heuer lured the girl from a St. Paul laundromat in May. Heuer said he paid the girl's mother $100 in exchange for sex with the girl, which would happen at his house.
A further investigation into Heuer revealed he was an over-the-road truck driver from the Twin Cities to Fargo and back. Evidence was also taken from his Spring Lake Park home which led authorities to believe there had been other victims.
Police arrested Heuer the day after the kidnapping. He was under a car in his garage at the time.
