Man Killed After Walking Into Oncoming Traffic Identified
HUDSON, Wis. (WCCO) -- A 43-year-old man is dead after police say he stepped in front of oncoming traffic on Interstate 94 near Hudson, Wis.
Authorities say Andrew Michael Heimstead of Hudson stopped his vehicle on the right shoulder of the highway and stepped out, into oncoming traffic. He was hit and killed by a semi truck, driving east at mile post 5.5.
The driver of the semi truck has been identified as 57-year-old Frank Goodwin of Arkansaw, Wis.
The Wisconsin State Patrol is investigating the incident.
