Man Initially Jailed In Cop's Death Surrenders Following Stalking Charges
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – The man arrested and released last year following the violent death of a Cold Spring police officer turned himself in Sunday after being accused of stalking his ex-girlfriend.
Ryan Larson, 34, surrendered to authorities at the Wright County Sheriff's Office Sunday night. A warrant for his arrest was issued on Jan. 10. The day prior, Larson was charged with one count of stalking and one count of harassment.
He told WCCO-TV Monday afternoon he is now out of jail.
Police say Larson allegedly called his ex-girlfriend's employer, in an attempt to get her fired.
Larson made an appearance in court Monday morning. He is slated to be back in court on Jan 24, the county attorney's office said.
Last November, Larson was arrested on the night of Officer Tom Decker's murder. Larson spent four days in jail before being released.
