Man In Serious Condition After Downtown Mpls. Shooting
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A man is in serious condition after a shooting near 8th Street South and Park Avenue South in downtown Minneapolis.
Sgt. Stephen McCarty, of the Minneapolis Police, said officers were dispatched to the area on a call of a shooting around 1:30 p.m.
"When they arrived, they found an adult victim who had been shot multiple times," McCarty said. "As you know that's right near the hospital, and they are treating him as we speak."

McCarty said he wasn't sure if the injuries were life threatening at this point.
No arrests have been made.
Police believe the suspect fled on foot, got into a vehicle and drove away.
Authorities continue to investigate the shooting, which occurred in broad daylight.
"It is uncommon. We see more shootings at night. It's unusual to say the least," McCarty said.
