Man In Hospital After Brooklyn Center Shooting
BROOKLYN CENTER, Minn. (WCCO) – One person was hospitalized after an overnight shooting in Brooklyn Center, according to police.
Authorities say the incident happened at about 1:21 a.m. on the 6800 block of Humboldt Avenue. Police say a man was shot in an apartment complex. He was transported to a hospital and is in stable condition with non-life threatening injuries.
A suspect was taken into custody after a short pursuit. Police say the suspect tried to flee the scene, but was arrested after hitting a sign at Highway 252 and 73rd Avenue.
Police say they don't yet know what led up to the shooting, and the incident remains under investigation.
