Man Tries To Rob Fargo Restaurant, Gets Burned
FARGO, N.D. (AP) -- Police say a man who allegedly tried to rob a McDonald's restaurant in Fargo suffered burns from cooking grease in a fight with employees that also injured a worker.
Authorities say a man with an apparent handgun tried to rob the business about 11 p.m. Sunday, and got into a fight with workers. Lt. Joel Vettel tells The Forum newspaper that the man suffered cuts to the head and burns to his upper body, while the injured employee suffered a cut to his head and a broken bone.
No shots were fired during the incident. The 30-year-old suspect from Duluth, Minn., was arrested on charges of armed robbery, aggravated assault and preventing arrest.
